Biography

Liu Kai, Chief Physician and Professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, holds a Ph.D. in Surgery (Plastic Surgery) and is a doctoral supervisor. His clinical expertise includes cleft lip and palate, double eyelid surgery, burn reconstruction, scars, periorbital plastic surgery, breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, nasal trauma, nasal plastic surgery, revision rhinoplasty, and fat grafting. In basic research, as principal investigator, he has completed one project funded by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and one National Natural Science Foundation of China project; he is currently conducting one subproject of the National 863 Program and two general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published 8 SCI-indexed articles as first author or corresponding author, with a total impact factor of 30; more than 20 articles in domestic core journals; and has contributed to 3 domestic monographs and 1 international monograph.
